Doug Margerum introduced Valle de Inez, which translates as Santa Ynez Valley, in 2016 to explore the blending potential across California’s many unique appellations. Valle de Inez embraces the spirit of collaboration and allows Doug to foster relationships with like-minded producers and make wines from the cold coastal regions of California with an emphasis on wines that are food-friendly and over-deliver for their price.
We currently produce Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Our Pinot Noir offers bright, clean flavors with minimal new oak. It is bottled before the next harvest to preserve the charm and fresh red fruit flavors that distinguish this varietal.
The Pinot Noir recently made the list of Top Pinot Noirs under $20 from Wine Enthusiast Magazine with a rating of 93 points.
The goal for our Chardonnay is to produce wine that reflects the distinct aroma and flavor of cool climate Chardonnay in the purest way possible.
Our Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from vineyards in the Paso Robles AVA and offers a softer, more approachable style of wine.
