Drinking Wine in Ancient Greece and Persia
Saturday, September 19th, 2026 – 5:30pm at Bellosguardo in Santa Barbara Join Margerum Wine Company for a special evening at Bellosguardo exploring the fascinating role of wine in Ancient Greece and Persia. UCSB Professor John W. I. Lee will take guests on a journey through the ancient world, exploring how wine shaped social life, celebration, diplomacy, and cultural exchange. Doug Margerum will also share insights into the wines of Santa Barbara County. Enjoy self-guided tours of Bellosguardo beginning at 5:30pm, followed by the talk at 6:30pm, with complimentary wine, cocktails, and light hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening.

Santa Barbara Vintner’s Festival Grand Tasting
Saturday, October 17th, 2026 – 1-4pm at Firestone Estate in Santa Ynez Join Margerum Wine Company and more than 70 Santa Barbara County wineries for the 42nd Annual Santa Barbara Vintners Festival. Spend the afternoon tasting exceptional local wines, meeting winemakers and winery owners, and enjoying gourmet bites from more than 25 regional restaurants and food purveyors. Guests can also enjoy live music and the Bubble Lounge, featuring sparkling wines from Barden and other Santa Barbara County producers, all surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Santa Ynez Valley.
